About the Role
This role is ideal for a legal professional with experience in legal, compliance or corporate governance who is comfortable working closely with senior management. The In-House Lawyer will support both strategic and operational matters, including contract management, regulatory compliance, risk assessment and internal governance. In addition, this role involves providing executive-level support to Directors, requiring a high level of professionalism, discretion and organisational capability.
Responsibilities
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements related to business operations
Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments affecting the organisation
Advise management on legal, compliance, and risk-related matters, including mitigation strategies
Develop, review, and maintain internal policies, procedures and compliance frameworks
Liaise with external legal counsel, consultants and regulatory authorities as required
Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations
Provide confidential executive support to Directors, including managing schedules, correspondence, reports and travel arrangements
Coordinate meetings, manage documentation and handle sensitive corporate matters with discretion
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field
7–15 years of experience in legal, compliance, corporate governance or risk management roles
Strong knowledge of contract law, legal documentation and regulatory compliance frameworks
Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
