Legal Associate (Conveyancing) – Based in JB

About the Client

Our client is a boutique law firm based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia providing personalized, high-quality legal services, with strong expertise in transactional and corporate matters across diverse practice areas. They advise corporations, financial institutions, and foreign investors, offering practical, commercially driven solutions and supporting market entry and business operations in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle conveyancing matters including project and sub-sale transactions.
• Draft, review, and advise on Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPA) for both project and sub-sale cases.
• Manage project loan and sub-sale loan documentation, including liaising with banks and financial institutions.
• Conduct due diligence, title searches, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, developers, agents, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth transaction processes.
• Monitor and manage files from inception to completion within agreed timelines.
• Support business development and marketing initiatives where applicable (e.g., client relationship management, networking).

Job Requirements:

• Possess Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in conveyancing practice.
• Strong exposure to project SPA, project loan, sub-sale SPA, and sub-sale loan matters.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and organisational skills.
• Exposure to marketing and business development activities is an added advantage.
• Mandarin speaking candidate is required.
