About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven litigation lawyer to take on a key role within a growing disputes practice. This position offers significant exposure to high-quality work, autonomy in handling matters and the opportunity to play a leadership role in shaping litigation strategy and client engagement.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing a broad range of litigation matters, including:

1. Handling end-to-end litigation files (from commencement through to disposal)
2. Drafting and reviewing pleadings, cause papers, affidavits, submissions and other legal documentation
3. Conducting legal research and providing strategic legal advice on procedural and substantive matters
4. Attending court proceedings, including hearings, trials, case managements and mediations
5. Managing client relationships and providing clear, practical legal guidance
6. Taking on a leadership role in coordinating and driving litigation matters within the team

Job Requirements

1. LL.B (Hons) or equivalent qualification
2. Called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya
3. 5 – 10 years of relevant litigation experience in a legal practice
4. Strong command of English (written and spoken); Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage
5. Solid drafting, analytical and advocacy skills
6. Strong client management and interpersonal abilities
7. Self-driven, meticulous and able to work independently with minimal supervision
