Associate Counsel (Fintech / Insurance)

Overview

Our client, one of the largest fintech providers in Malaysia, is seeking a highly motivated Associate Counsel to join their Malaysia office.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal and regulatory support on fintech and insurance-related matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documentation
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Support business operations and strategic initiatives from a legal perspective
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and relevant stakeholders when required

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
• Experience in fintech and/or insurance matters gained from a reputable law firm or in-house legal team
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Sound legal and commercial judgment
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment
• A proactive team player who is efficient, detail-oriented, and hardworking
