Associate Counsel (Philippines)

Role Description

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, service, partnership, procurement, marketing, and technology-related contracts.
• Provide legal advice on commercial and corporate matters while balancing legal risks with business objectives.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders to support day-to-day business operations and strategic initiatives.
• Identify legal risks and recommend practical solutions to facilitate business growth.
• Assist in developing and improving contract templates, policies, and internal legal processes.
• Keep abreast of relevant laws and regulations that may impact the business and provide timely legal guidance.
• Support other legal and compliance matters as assigned.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Philippines with 3–6 years’ Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Strong experience in commercial contracts and corporate legal work, gained from a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory skills.
• Ability to provide practical, commercially sound legal advice in a fast-paced business environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Experience in the technology, e-commerce, fintech, telecommunications, or related industries will be an added advantage.
