About the Role:
To support the Company’s compliance, contractual, and employee-related matters across Malaysia and Dubai operations. This role is suitable for candidates with corporate legal/compliance backgrounds who are comfortable handling labor-related matters, internal governance, compliance coordination, risk assessments, and cross-border corporate support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify contracts, agreements, and internal documents prepared by external legal firms
- Coordinate and liaise with external law firms on legal, compliance, employment, and corporate matters
- Support employee-related compliance matters for both Malaysia and UAE operations
- Handle labor-related matters, disciplinary documentation, dispute coordination, and compliance risk assessments
- Ensure proper documentation, evidence tracking, and record management for sensitive matters
- Assist management in improving internal governance, compliance processes, and policy implementation
- Support matters related to international tax, cross-border operational compliance, and corporate structuring when necessary
- Conduct compliance reviews and basic legal risk analysis for operational matters
Requirements:
- Possess valid legal practicing license / law qualification
- 2-5 years of experience in corporate legal, compliance, or in-house legal related roles
- Experience handling labor disputes, compliance matters, and contract reviews
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong sense of professionalism, confidentiality, and evidence awareness
- Able to handle sensitive matters rationally and objectively
- Exposure to international tax or cross-border corporate matters is an advantage
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
