Our client is a well-established boutique law firm with multiple offices across West Malaysia. In line with the expansion of its conveyancing practice in Penang, the firm is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join their growing team

About The Role

Due to expansion of its conveyancing practice in Penang, they are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals to be part of a growing team.

This opportunity is open to experienced Conveyancing Clerks, Chambering Students, and Junior Legal Associates who are keen to build or further develop their careers in conveyancing and property law.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in handling Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPA) and loan documentation for sub-sale transactions
• Support in SME loan documentation and general conveyancing matters
• Assist in handling housing project files and developer-related transactions
• Prepare, draft, and organise legal documents, correspondence, and files
• Liaise with banks, developers, clients, and relevant authorities (e.g. land offices)
• Monitor progress of files and ensure timely completion of transactions
• Maintain proper documentation, filing systems, and records
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to the conveyancing team
• (For Chambering Students / Junior Lawyers) Assist partners and senior lawyers in legal research and drafting where required

Requirements

• For Conveyancing Clerks:
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant conveyancing experience (more experienced candidates up to 20 years are welcome to apply)
• For Chambering Students / Junior Legal Associates:
  • Law degree (LLB) and/or called to the Bar
  • 0–2 years of experience (fresh graduates / pupils are encouraged to apply)
• Able to handle conveyancing matters with attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to converse in Mandarin / Chinese dialects is an added advantage (to liaise with clients)
