Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal & Compliance professional to drive compliance excellence and provide strategic legal guidance in a fast-paced corporate environment. This role involves advising management, developing compliance programs, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead compliance initiatives covering anti-money laundering, securities law, personal data protection, anti-bribery & corruption, sanctions risk, and corporate governance.
• Act as a trusted adviser to management on regulatory compliance and legal matters.
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies, procedures, and risk-based programs.
• Conduct audits, investigations, and training to promote a strong compliance culture.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts, legal documents, and agreements, including property, financing, and corporate documentation.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, assess implications, and implement practical compliance solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or relevant field.
• Qualified lawyer with minimum 5 years of corporate experience, including exposure to compliance in capital markets.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, local laws, and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines with integrity and professionalism.
• Compliance-related certification is an advantage.
