About the Role
This role is ideal for a legal professional with experience in legal, compliance or corporate governance who is comfortable working closely with senior management. The In-House Lawyer will support both strategic and operational matters, including contract management, regulatory compliance, risk assessment and internal governance. In addition, this role involves providing executive-level support to Directors, requiring a high level of professionalism, discretion and organisational capability.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements related to business operations
- Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments affecting the organisation
- Advise management on legal, compliance, and risk-related matters, including mitigation strategies
- Develop, review, and maintain internal policies, procedures and compliance frameworks
- Liaise with external legal counsel, consultants and regulatory authorities as required
- Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations
- Provide confidential executive support to Directors, including managing schedules, correspondence, reports and travel arrangements
- Coordinate meetings, manage documentation and handle sensitive corporate matters with discretion
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field
- 7–15 years of experience in legal, compliance, corporate governance or risk management roles
- Strong knowledge of contract law, legal documentation and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
