Inhouse Lawyer

About the Client

A reputable and growing organization is seeking an inhouse lawyer to support senior management and ensure the company’s operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.

This role is ideal for professionals with legal, compliance, or corporate governance experience who enjoy working closely with top management while handling both strategic and operational matters.

Responsibilities

• Review, advise on, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements related to the company’s business activities.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on regulatory developments affecting the organization.
• Assist management in identifying legal and compliance risks and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Develop and review internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
• Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits to ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
• Provide confidential executive support to Directors including managing schedules, correspondences, reports, and travel arrangements.
• Coordinate meetings, manage documentation, and handle sensitive corporate matters with discretion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in legal, compliance, corporate governance, or risk management roles.
• Strong understanding of contracts, legal documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
