Legal Associate

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and capable Legal Associate to join their growing practice. This role offers extensive exposure to conveyancing, corporate and commercial matters and non-contentious legal work, making it an excellent opportunity for lawyers looking to accelerate their professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle sub-sale conveyancing transactions from inception to completion.
• Assist in project-related conveyancing matters.
• Prepare and issue Letters of Demand and attend to non-court legal work.
• Assist in corporate and commercial transactions, advisory work and documentation.
• Liaise with clients, financial institutions, developers, government authorities and other relevant stakeholders.
• Attend document signings when required.
• Support business development and networking initiatives (optional but encouraged).

Requirements

• Called to the Malaysian Bar with 1–2 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Proficient in English (spoken and written). Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
• Experience in conveyancing matters, particularly sub-sale transactions.
• Good drafting and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while managing deadlines effectively.
• Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel for client signings as and when required.
