Role Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated and capable Legal Associate to join their growing practice. This role offers extensive exposure to conveyancing, corporate and commercial matters and non-contentious legal work, making it an excellent opportunity for lawyers looking to accelerate their professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle sub-sale conveyancing transactions from inception to completion.
- Assist in project-related conveyancing matters.
- Prepare and issue Letters of Demand and attend to non-court legal work.
- Assist in corporate and commercial transactions, advisory work and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, financial institutions, developers, government authorities and other relevant stakeholders.
- Attend document signings when required.
- Support business development and networking initiatives (optional but encouraged).
Requirements
- Called to the Malaysian Bar with 1–2 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Proficient in English (spoken and written). Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
- Experience in conveyancing matters, particularly sub-sale transactions.
- Good drafting and communication skills.
- Able to work independently while managing deadlines effectively.
- Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel for client signings as and when required.
