Litigation Lawyer – Based in JB

About the Client

Our client is a boutique law firm in Malaysia providing personalized, high-quality legal services, with strong expertise in transactional and corporate matters across diverse practice areas. They advise corporations, financial institutions, and foreign investors, offering practical, commercially driven solutions and supporting market entry and business operations in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and handle a full spectrum of civil and/or commercial litigation matters independently.
• Conduct full trial work, including preparing pleadings, submissions, cause papers, and trial bundles.
• Attend court proceedings, hearings, and trials, and represent clients effectively.
• Provide legal advice, case strategy, and risk assessment to clients.
• Handle dispute resolution matters, including negotiations and settlements where appropriate.
• Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court officials, and relevant parties.
• Ensure timely progress and management of cases from inception to completion.

Job Requirements:

• Possess Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree.
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation practice.
• Strong experience handling full trial matters independently.
• Able to manage cases with minimal supervision and work autonomously.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Mandarin speaking candidate is required.
