Senior Lawyer (Corporate & Conveyancing)

Our client is an expanding law firm with various branches in the Klang Valley.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and independent Senior Lawyer to join our client’s expanding firm.

Key Responsibilities

Real Estate Transactions (Conveyancing)
1) Oversee and manage residential, commercial, project, and sub-sale conveyancing matters.
2) Advise clients on sale and purchase agreements, loan documentation, and property-related transactions.
3) Supervise conveyancing lawyers and clerks to ensure compliance and efficiency.
4) Liaise with developers, bankers, property agents, and relevant authorities (Land Office,
LHDN, Stamp Office).

Commercial & Corporate (M&A & Pre-IPO)
1) Advise on corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructurings.
2) Lead due diligence exercises and negotiate transaction documents.
3) Advise clients preparing for Pre-IPO, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
4) Draft and review shareholders and agreements, investment agreements, and corporate documentation.

Key Requirements

1) Possess an LLB and is a qualified Advocate & Solicitor in Malaysia.
2) Solid post-qualification experience in the relevant practice area.
3) Strong leadership, file management, and client-handling capabilities.
4) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
5) Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
6) Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin and/ Cantonese is an advantage).
7) Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in practice growth and long-term collaboration.
