Responsibilities
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support both the Business Acceptance Team (BAT) and the Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and is comfortable working across multiple projects and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Acceptance Team (BAT) Support
1) Conduct ongoing monitoring of client and matter data to ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
2) Assist with client onboarding, conflict checks, and due diligence processes.
3) Collaborate with international operations teams to ensure consistent application of business acceptance protocols.
4) Support the BAT team in preparing reports and documentation for internal audits and reviews.
DSAR Support
1) Review, tag, and redact large volumes of documents in response to DSARs, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and internal protocols
2) Apply sound judgment in redacting sensitive information, including grievance related content where identities may be inferred despite redactions
Requirements
Qualifications
1) Bachelors degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
2) Prior experience in a legal support role, ideally within a law firm or corporate legal department.
3) Familiarity with AML due diligence and or data protection law is highly desirable.
4) Strong analytical and organizational skills.
5) Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
6) Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
7) Keen attention to detail.
Preferred Attributes
1) Proactive and adaptable mindset.
2) Collaborative approach with a global team.
3) Language skills German, Spanish, French, Arabic, Mandarin or Cantonese are desirable but not essential.
